About Jefferson Parish Criminal History

Jefferson Parish criminal records are divided among the sheriff, local courts, municipal police departments, and Louisiana agencies. A booking record and a filed court case may describe the same event, yet each comes from a different custodian. This privately operated resource organizes the official portals, counters, and contact details needed to find the right record without treating those separate products as one statewide public file.

Why We Built This Site

Louisiana does not offer the public an unrestricted statewide LACCH name search. Jefferson Parish instead has several narrower routes. JPSO holds its police, arrest, booking, and current-custody material. The Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court keeps filed charges, minutes, dispositions, and sentences. Louisiana State Police BCII-LCJIS provides a fingerprint-supported Right to Review for a person examining their own state record. The corrections locator and the Louisiana State Police Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry answer still different questions. The site brings those official routes, fees, and request steps together while preserving the limits of each source.

What You Will Find Here

Coverage follows the way Jefferson Parish and Louisiana agencies divide criminal-record duties.

  • Record guides: how criminal court case records are searched and read in Jefferson Parish
  • Official check routes: how the fingerprint-based Right to Review process differs from authorized Louisiana background-check access
  • Agency contacts: where to reach the sheriff's records unit, the criminal courts, and the statewide systems that hold Jefferson Parish records
  • Record cleanup information: how Louisiana expungement limits public access and where Jefferson Parish petitions are filed

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Louisiana court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot promise that a posted government fee, office hour, phone number, or address has not changed

Only the sheriff, the relevant court, a municipal department, or Louisiana State Police BCII-LCJIS can issue or certify the record it maintains.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its own results, prices, and service terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports site operations. The provider, not this site, determines what its search returns and what it charges.
